APHS is owned and operated by two Partners who share a common vision for APHS. Their roles and details are listed below.
Stuart Giles – B.Pharm MAIPM
Managing Partner & Group CEO
Nominated by Westpac for the 2008 Entrepreneur of the Year, Stuart’s career path saw him arrive at APHS after occupying senior managerial positions in both community and hospital pharmacy organisations.
After cutting his teeth in the early days of the Pharmore Group of pharmacies, joining as manager of the second of their eventual 29 stores, Stuart entered the private hospital and aged care pharmacy space when he was appointed Business Manager for one of Victoria’s largest Pharmacy Services company in 1997. He subsequently went on to play a foundation role with the Active Care Pharmacy Group, initially as a pharmacy proprietor and then as Group CEO. Stuart brings an energetic and enthusiastic approach to the many commercial and clinical opportunities available to APHS in the current healthcare market.
Outside of leading APHS, Stuart’s keen interest in nearly all things sporting means you might find him at the cricket, on the golf course or cheering on the resurgent Hawks in the AFL with his pride and joys, Sascha (8) and Samuel (5) in tow as he balances his hectic work and family lives.
Cathie Reid – B.Pharm FACPP
Managing Partner APHS Packaging & Aged Care
Cathie is the Managing Partner of APHS Packaging and the Aged Care division. This incorporates both the national grid of APHS Aged Care Pharmacies, and the production teams responsible for our award winning medication compliance aid - The Sachet System.
Cathie graduated as a pharmacist from the Victorian College of Pharmacy in 1990, and has subsequently completed a post graduate Fellowship of the Australian College of Pharmacy Practice. Prior to establishing the Active Care Pharmacy group, she managed a number of retail pharmacies throughout Victoria, and in 1998 was awarded Victorian Pharmacy Manager of the Year by the Australian Institute of Pharmacy Management.
Cathie balances the demands of owning a number of the APHS Group pharmacies, with driving our APHS Packaging project and bringing up a young family. Cathie’s passions include the Environment – she instigated APHS’s Environmental Policy – and is a regular at the Business Chicks breakfast meetings.”
